Welcome to Menopause with Friends, Pull Up a Chair
Like so many women, I reached menopause wondering what on earth had happened to the woman I used to know.
Between the hot flashes, brain fog, sleepless nights, changing body, shifting emotions, and occasionally walking into a room with absolutely no idea why I was there, I realized something.
I didn't need another list telling me what was wrong with me.
I needed friends.
I needed women who would say, “Oh good… it’s not just me.”
That’s really where Menopause with Friends began.
I wanted to create a place where we could talk honestly about this season of life, the funny parts, the frustrating parts, the things nobody warned us about, and even the parts that make us wonder, Who am I now?
I don’t have all the answers. And I’m not here pretending that I do.
What I do have is a sense of humour, a love of storytelling, and a belief that women are better when we walk through life together.
Somewhere along the way, that sense of humour also turned into seven menopausal chickens, one slightly bewildered rooster, and a book called The Farmer’s Wife and the MenoClucks.
Because apparently this is who I am now. 😂
And I kind of love her.
So whether you're in the thick of menopause, just beginning to wonder what's happening, or you're on the other side looking back thinking phew…, there’s a chair here for you.
We’ll talk about menopause, friendship, aging, confidence, relationships, changing bodies, family, the ridiculous things that happen along the way, and whatever else women our age actually want to talk about.
There will be laughter.
There will definitely be chickens.
And hopefully, there will always be the reminder:
You’re not walking through this alone.
Welcome to Menopause with Friends.
Grace for today. Hope for tomorrow. Friends for the journey.

Your friend,
Barbara
